Travelling by train to the Balaton Park Circuit is a scenic and comfortable option, especially if you are coming from Hungary or nearby regions. Here’s how you can plan your train journey:
From Budapest, you can take a train from one of the city’s main railway stations: Keleti, Déli, or Kelenföld. Trains run regularly to Balatonakarattya, which is the closest station to the circuit.
The journey takes around 1.5-2 hours depending on connections. Once you arrive, local transport such as taxis or shuttle services (to be confirmed) can take you directly to the circuit.
You can also take bus number 7323 from Balatonakarattya railway station to Balatonfőkajár tüzép station. From there, the Balaton Park Circuit is just a short 1.3 km walk away.
For accurate schedules and tickets, visit the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) website or use online booking platforms.
In 2025, on Saturday and Sunday, a special relief train called the MotoGP Express will operate between Budapest-Kelenföld and Csajág stations. The service will use a modern, double-decker, air-conditioned KISS train. From the Csajág station spectators then can take the shuttle bus to the circuit.
Travel on the MotoGP Express is free of charge for all visitors holding a valid MotoGP race ticket.
In addition to the special service, there are also train connections available from both the southern and northern shores of Lake Balaton, with several departure times.
